As a photographer I try so hard plan ahead & set everything up in order to get that 'perfect' photograph. As you can imagine this can cause a lot of frustration when working with unpredictable children, especially my own! In reality, the 'perfect' pictures are often the ones where I let go and just allow children to be themselves. I think some of my best photographs are the unplanned ones. These capture the best memories.
A few months ago, I realized how wary my child had become of my camera. So I decided instead of going for that perfect pose, I would just incorporate my camera into our normal play time. The result was not a perfectly composed photograph, but a precious memory of Enjoying Life with my kids.
